so tasty! we used skirt steak, as it’s what they had in the butcher. We read what the others said about chili oil quantity and agree with the brand we used we needed much less than in the recipe.

delicious!! quantities are a bit off tho - way too much marinade, chilli oil and avo cream

Personally wasn't too keen. I love a spicy pineapple salsa but this had too much chilli oil and it just didn't work with the steak. All the other elements were lovely but we probably won't make again

Hey Tara, thanks for giving this one a go! Chilli oils can really range in spice level and flavour, depending on which one you buy - so your best bet if you were to try this again would be to start with a bit less and add more if you think is needs it!

great recipe! this made quite a bit of avocado crema but I have no complaints. I’ll just use it on other stuff throughout the week. next time I will marinate the steak overnight!

The ratio for the 2 serve was off! ingredients say one lime but the the recipie called to use a whole lime in step one, and then multiple other times later in the recipe but I’d already used the lime.

Hi Meg, thanks for giving this a go! Sorry to hear that the instructions weren't right for a smaller serving size - we'll take a look at this!

Have you got any top tips for speeding up the coriander process (also applies to parsley and other herbs) as it seems to take the longest time!!??

Hey Doug! Chopping herbs can feel like the fiddliest part 😅 - one thing that helps is just snipping it straight into the bowl with scissors, especially if it’s going in fresh. Another technique that works well is using bunching the herbs tightly and slicing in a rocking motion this is usually way faster than chasing leaves around on your chopping board. Hope that helps!

wash, fold real tight in your fist, start showing them little by little under your knukles while they still pack and start chopping , by the time you finish this 90% is done, then chop loose while in the cutting board. this is how we did in the restaurant.

Really interesting and different combination with the peanut salsa! The sweetness of the pineapple really balances the dish well. My favorite was the avocado crema but overall I was expecting the taco to be more hard hitting and flavorfull. Would put a chimichurri steak taco over this one.

I didn’t like the peanuts with the salsa, not sure it added anything. Would add more chilli to the salsa. Great combination, just needed tweaking for individual tastes.

Delicious colourful moreish tacos, LOVED the pineapple salsa - Used sirloin instead as didn't want to risk getting a tough bavette steak. Would make again. Easy to make

Honestly, best tacos ever! Much better and cheaper than going out and as my flatmate said ‘just as good as anything you’d get in a restaurant’.

Unreal! If you wanna be the hero of the friend group. Get some pot, have a great time and then cook these together. We were speechless!
