Step 1.
Add the pork chops to a bowl. Add a grated garlic clove and a large grated thumb of ginger. Pour in the soy sauce. Mix everything together, cover with cling film and leave to marinate for 10 minutes.
Step 2.
Add the pork chops to a frying pan with a splash of olive oil. Fry on a medium heat for 4 minutes and then flip. Add a small glass of water to de-glaze the pan. Allow the water to reduce.
Step 3.
After 4 more minutes, flip the chops again. Add another splash of water. Fry for another minute and flip again. Check the chops are cooked through. Remove from the heat.
Step 4.
Slice up pork chops and set aside to rest.
Step 5.
Broth time. Pour 600ml of water in a pan. Add two tablespoons of miso paste. Add a chopped red chilli, 4 chopped spring onions and 1 star anise. Bubble away for 10 minutes.
Step 6.
At this point, cook the ramen noodles in a pan of boiling water.
Step 7.
Remove the broth from the heat.
Step 8.
Assemble time. Add a helping of noodles to a bowl. Ladle your broth into the bowl. Add the strips of pork. Top with coriander leaves and spring onions. Enjoy!
