Crispy Cereal Squares
Step 1.
Line the base of a brownie tin or small roasting tin with baking paper.
Step 2.
For the chocolate cereal squares, break the chocolate into a large saucepan, then add the golden syrup, butter and a big pinch of salt. Cook over a low heat, stirring regularly until the chocolate and butter have melted and are smooth and glossy.
Step 3.
For the marshmallow cereal squares, tip the marshmallows, butter and a big pinch of salt into a large saucepan. Cook over a low heat, stirring regularly until the marshmallows and butter have melted and are smooth and glossy.
Step 4.
Off the heat, tip in your chosen cereal and give everything a good mix so that each piece gets completely coated in the mixture. Scrape into your tin, smooth out the top then sprinkle over a little more salt if you like.
Step 5.
Put in the fridge for at least 2 hours to set then cut into squares. Will keep in a container in the fridge for a week.
