Have had this a couple times now on ciabatta. Just made it again today but didn't have the tahini or parsley but added mixed herbs and turned my ciabattas into garlic bread bases for some extra flavour. It was really nice! For the chickpeas, I follow the instructions on the tin to cook them first, let them cool and then mash them in the bowl before putting them on the ciabatta bread, which makes it a lot easier to 'smoosh'.

My chickpeas weren't smooshing 😞 I used canned chickpeas, maybe the jar ones are easier to smoosh?
I had to have this as more of a chickpea salad type thing. It still tasted nice which was good.

I used canned and just cooked them for a few minutes to make them easier to smoosh once added to the bowl.

Lovely idea! The lemon is a nice touch. I added some chopped pickle slices 'cause somehow it was lacking even tho I put lotsa salt and MSG, and that made it nice. Don't skip the peppers they add a nice crunch and taste!

Delicious, simple to prepare and a lovely lunch on toast as others have said. I enjoyed all the lemon and vinegar. It wasn’t too acidic for me. Feels versatile too. Could serve all sorts of ways eg with broccoli.

Really wanted to like this but it just felt bland and way too acidic. The other smooshes are much nicer.

Really nice except the juice of a whole lemon is way too much. I didn't even add the vinegar. Next time I'll just do half a lemon or the half the vinegar and see how it goes.

This was really tasty! I substituted the mayo for greek yoghurt and added another tbs. It was a little on the acidic side as I used jarred red peppers, so next time I'd decrease the vinegar / lemon to make up for this.

Just now made this for my lunch. Didn't have any peppers or harrissa. Used some green pesto instead. Yum
