Hi James, I just checked both app and web and it's the same method on both. Have you updated your app recently? This might help!

So great concept, but when I cooked it, carmelized the bell peppers, I toasted the orzo with garlic and tomato paste, and just used cups of water and mixed concentrated chicken broth and kept adding water and concentrate until the orzo cooked to my desired texture. For the chicken, I seared it, (didn’t cook through) cut it, and added it in when the water was boiling to cook through and then finished by adding the mascarpone and harissa. I found it maintains more flavor rather than boiling the aromatics + chicken and throwing out the water with flavor.

Never used harissa, orso, mascarpone, or fresh cut parsley (i've always used pre chopped and drie). Genuinely one of the nicest tasting dishes I've ever made. As a student, this will for sure make it into my weekly meal prep. Thank you!

It is a good meal but it needs some improvements. I feel like all the good ingredients are there but the method is a bit lacking. This is how I've done it to still keep it a one pan meal: Pour olive oil in a pan and sautee chicken and peppers (you can add a minced onion and / or garlic at this point), add harissa, sun-dried tomatoes and black pepper and cook for a couple of minutes. Add orzo and about 2 cups of water (swap for a chicken broth for more flavour) and cover to cook, stirring occasionally - orzo should absorb all of the broth and flavour with it, add more water if necessary, by the time orzo is cooked the mixture should resemble a thick risotto. Once cooked, add cherry vinegar and mascarpone, bring to the boil again and finish with chopped parsley and add salt if necessary (you might not need any if you used broth as this usually has some salt in it).

delicious and my sometimes-fussy two year old really enjoyed it too. I didn't have sherry wine vinegar just added a little white wine vinegar.

Delicious and a new way for us to cook a one-pan dish - never boiled pasta, veg and chicken together - it turned out great. Only thing I added was a veg stock cube to the boiling water for extra flavour.

i make this dish all the time; so easy and good! if you have more time, caramelising the bell pepers with a red onion in a seperate pan is also really nice; makes it a bit sweeter in taste.

Cooked the chicken and peppers in the air fryer with some harissa on the chicken. Added spinach, peas and butter beans for extra nutrients. Really easy and tasty! 1 year old also loved it.

Looking at Mob's comment below, this recipe has recently been updated. I made it yesterday and it was great, but I did add more harissa for good measure and boiled off all the water so it wasn't soggy. It's so simple and quick which is what the recipe is designed for - 'for when you can't be bothered'

I read the reviews and went a bit rogue! Fried off the chicken and peppers first and then added the orzo with chicken stock, Once the pasta was cooked I added the other ingredients plus some green leaves and nduja paste that I had in the fridge (as well as harissa but could probably just swap). Really good.

Solid healthy meal - definitely needs more harissa than suggested and I added spinach stirred in at the end for some greens, as well as lemon juice.

I liked how quick and simple this is, although I think I would roast the peppers and chicken (and add garlic) rather than boil them! But it was still tasty, just the chicken chunks a bit bland. Also I had no harissa so used red pesto and it was great.

Listened to others and upped the harissa (probably about double) so also added a little more mascarpone. Great taste. I’d properly do chicken and peppers in the air fryer next time.

Couldn't bring myself to do the boiled chicken and peppers so roasted them in the oven and then mixed them with the orzo which was cooked as normal. Like it and will make again.

I agree with the review that says needs more harissa. Also thing there is a bit too much orzo as well as the portions were huge. The recipe definitely needs the salt and pepper suggested too. I also think garlic would have improved it but it was fine for what it was.

Just as I started cooking I realised I had no sun dried toms... no matter I stirred in some red pesto & it was delish! Such an easy tasty dinner with hardly any washing up! Winner 🏆

Really good recipe! Used dried harissa spices rather than the paste and it tasted amazing. It's the sherry vinegar that adds the magic. Great heated up the next day too!

Could you use crème fraiche instead of mascarpone please?

I'd say yes, it's just to add some creaminess!

This is the most ridiculous recipe I've ever tired. Like seriously, WHAT?!
And yet - DELICIOUS! I mean seriously, how is this even a thing?
I mean I get it, the individual flavours kinda indicate that it's gonna be good, but the method and the whole concept just knocked me off 🤣
Brilliant, easy, fast, full of flavours and filling.
What more would you want?
(I even cooked it with my Mum and she was as gobsmacked as I was 🤣)
