Never used harissa, orso, mascarpone, or fresh cut parsley (i've always used pre chopped and drie). Genuinely one of the nicest tasting dishes I've ever made. As a student, this will for sure make it into my weekly meal prep. Thank you!

It is a good meal but it needs some improvements. I feel like all the good ingredients are there but the method is a bit lacking. This is how I've done it to still keep it a one pan meal: Pour olive oil in a pan and sautee chicken and peppers (you can add a minced onion and / or garlic at this point), add harissa, sun-dried tomatoes and black pepper and cook for a couple of minutes. Add orzo and about 2 cups of water (swap for a chicken broth for more flavour) and cover to cook, stirring occasionally - orzo should absorb all of the broth and flavour with it, add more water if necessary, by the time orzo is cooked the mixture should resemble a thick risotto. Once cooked, add cherry vinegar and mascarpone, bring to the boil again and finish with chopped parsley and add salt if necessary (you might not need any if you used broth as this usually has some salt in it).

soooo much easier and tasty! thank you! I went harder with the harissa, double or triple the volume. bloody delicious!! I’ve never eaten orzo before 💙 (or risoni as we call it in Australia!)

Boiling the chicken meant that the flavour of the spices didn’t really infuse. Not much flavour despite using the ingredient amounts set out.

Added stock to boiling after at the beginning for flavour, added extra harissa too

That was delicious will try the tips of adding a stick cube to the water next time for more flavour and I would add more sun-dried tomatoes personally but will definitely keep making this!

delicious and my sometimes-fussy two year old really enjoyed it too. I didn't have sherry wine vinegar just added a little white wine vinegar.

Delicious and a new way for us to cook a one-pan dish - never boiled pasta, veg and chicken together - it turned out great. Only thing I added was a veg stock cube to the boiling water for extra flavour.

i make this dish all the time; so easy and good! if you have more time, caramelising the bell pepers with a red onion in a seperate pan is also really nice; makes it a bit sweeter in taste.

Cooked the chicken and peppers in the air fryer with some harissa on the chicken. Added spinach, peas and butter beans for extra nutrients. Really easy and tasty! 1 year old also loved it.

I followed the advice of cooking the chicken and peppers separately, doubling the harissa, and adding chicken stock to the orzo . I coated the diced chicken in olive oil and harissa and air fried. Peppers in oven. Very tasty.

I didn't have energy to clean and chop peppers, so I added grilled peppers I had stuck in a blender instead and added at the end. Topped it with some parmesan and absolutely love this dish. It's creamy and comforting and takes no effort. I boiled the chicken, and it was delish.

Looking at Mob's comment below, this recipe has recently been updated. I made it yesterday and it was great, but I did add more harissa for good measure and boiled off all the water so it wasn't soggy. It's so simple and quick which is what the recipe is designed for - 'for when you can't be bothered'

I read the reviews and went a bit rogue! Fried off the chicken and peppers first and then added the orzo with chicken stock, Once the pasta was cooked I added the other ingredients plus some green leaves and nduja paste that I had in the fridge (as well as harissa but could probably just swap). Really good.

Agree with the other notes, bland and soggy, unsure if the orzo should have been cooked weight as the portions are wildly off. Added more harissa for flavour but the ratios of orzo to meat and veg was off in this recipe sadly!

The ratio of ingredients is all wrong! Way too much orzo and not enough harissa. Had to add some sundried tomato paste to add more flavour.

Solid healthy meal - definitely needs more harissa than suggested and I added spinach stirred in at the end for some greens, as well as lemon juice.

I liked how quick and simple this is, although I think I would roast the peppers and chicken (and add garlic) rather than boil them! But it was still tasty, just the chicken chunks a bit bland. Also I had no harissa so used red pesto and it was great.

Listened to others and upped the harissa (probably about double) so also added a little more mascarpone. Great taste. I’d properly do chicken and peppers in the air fryer next time.

Couldn't bring myself to do the boiled chicken and peppers so roasted them in the oven and then mixed them with the orzo which was cooked as normal. Like it and will make again.

I agree with the review that says needs more harissa. Also thing there is a bit too much orzo as well as the portions were huge. The recipe definitely needs the salt and pepper suggested too. I also think garlic would have improved it but it was fine for what it was.

Just as I started cooking I realised I had no sun dried toms... no matter I stirred in some red pesto & it was delish! Such an easy tasty dinner with hardly any washing up! Winner 🏆
