Lovely base recipe. I was cooking for 4, so doubled to get 3 meals. Made burrito bowls tonight, quesadillas for couple of nights time, and stuck a 3rd in the freezer for another day.

Really enjoyed this one. My partner said it was the best chilli I’ve made so far, so thank you! Will be using this recipe again. Only thing I didn’t add was sweetcorn as not a fan!

missing some flavour, needs salt and acid. too much tomato for the amount of beef as well.

Hey! Thanks for giving this one a go! The flavour in this recipe comes from properly browning the mince and frying off the spices, it is on the more tomato side so if you'd like something richer why not try our Beef Shin Chilli recipe? Thanks for your feedback :)

Really lovely base recipe. I made it last night and it was very close to how I usually prepare chili con carne. I played around a bit with the spices and chili but found it needed a touch more depth. I added a splash of Worcestershire sauce at the end, which really brought everything together. Just a tip in case anyone else feels it needs a little extra punch!

This makes a really lovely chilli and i think it gives quite generous portions too. I completely forgot about the sweetcorn but I don't feel it's missing anything in the final product. I added a little dark chocolate to help enhance the flavour.

This is so good, made it when dinner guests turned up for a meal I didn't know I was cooking (comms failure on my husband's part). Made it a bit milder and left out the sweetcorn, served it with fluffy rice, soured cream and loads of chopped coriander. Clean plates all round.

Good recipe! I left out the frozen sweetcorn and added some mushrooms and chocolate BBQ sauce (my secret ingredient) and it came out really well

I slow cooked this for 12 hours... then oven baked it on top of tortilla chips for a quick, loaded nacho situation. Yum!

Made this last night, simple yet delicious! Still hesitating between making the nachos or the quesadillas with the leftover. 🤔
