Green Coconut Prawn & Noodle Salad
The secret ingredient in this fresh and flavourful prawn salad recipe is the chilli coconut dressing. It's so good you could bathe it in. Obviously don't do that, though. It'll sting.

can you tell me how much fish oil to use please? I am making this meal for a garden party tomorrow.

Hey Kerry you might want to use it like you would salt - as saltiness is what the fish sauce will add to the sauce. i'd add a little, taste then see if you want to add some more.

I needed to add green chillies and a lot more herbs for it to be flavourful

Delicious. I made it as a hot dish rather than a salad and it worked really well. Would definitely recommend

Steps seem to be missing, e.g when are the shallots cooked to become crispy? I was excited to make this but am now a bit perplexed.

You can buy fried shallots, I think that's what the recipe means. I bet homemade will taste better though.

Yummm! I also made some small tweaks. I used 2 limes (1.5 for sauce and the other half for serving), 2 tbsp Thai green curry paste to the sauce and coated the noodles with some sesame oil.

We. loved this! I too thought that three limes in the dressing would be too much so I used the third lime to juice over the final dish. I also added the 150g of halved cherry tomatoes I had knocking around in the fridge and this added a really lovely additional dimension.

Really fresh and easy, I used cooked prawns and rice noodles so it was even speedier

Not a fan of this! I didn’t like the flavour of the sauce - very coconuty. I also don’t think rice noodles work very well with it

Hey Charlotte! Thanks so much for giving this recipe a try, we're gutted it didn't hit the mark for you. You could always change the noodles if you prefer an alternative :)

Love this recipe, full of flavour! I’ve made it with soba noodles, would recommend.

This is a great recipe overall, but three limes' worth of juice is overkill. Half of that is more than enough.

Really fresh-tasting. Loved the raw sugar-snaps, they’re not usually my favourite, but I’ll have them again like this. I served it with crispy chilli in oil (my latest obsession) and added lots of fresh green chilli as well - yum.

I really enjoyed this! I must admit I did make a couple of modifications though. I didn't have the chilli jam so I added some habanero hot honey instead. I also threw a clove of garlic into the blender too which was tasty!
It was really refreshing with the fresh lime and crunchy sugar snaps. Will be making this again!
Might have added too much chilli crisp but it's my fave!

Good, but recipe tells us to use the coriander twice. I blended it into the dressing as directed in step 1, then it tells you to use it again later on. Also seems like too many noodles, but that’s a personal taste thing I suppose. And I honestly don’t think this is a 25 min recipe

I had my eye on this recipe for awhile and it didn't dissappoint. Although I had just one lime and no fish sauce (used a bit of miso and soy sauce) it tasted fresh and light. I can only imagine how much better it would have been made the right way. This is my new favourite way for cooking prawns!

Hi! substitute it with fresh chilli and season the dressing with sugar to balance it all out :)

Felt like 400g was too many noodles for that mix. I used 2x200g packets and didn’t use all of them but it was still lacking in a bit of flavour. Maybe the coconut had reduced too much..
