The Best Non-Stick Frying Pans (At Every Price Point)

Whether you’re after the best non-stick pan that money can buy or a budget option to help you with your scrambled eggs, one of these pans should see you right.
Pan 2

I know that hefty cast iron pans and stainless steel pans are the cookware of choice for a lot of serious professional chefs out there (mainly the kind who would scoff at the idea of having anything in their culinary arsenal coated in Teflon), but I also know that a good non-stick frying pan has a place in your kitchen. Especially if you’re a home cook like me.

Making sure you’ve got a high-quality non-stick frying pan on-hand means you can serve up picture book fried eggs and knock up a decent stir fry (have you tried our Crispy Sesame Beef Stir Fry?) with minimal fuss and effort. They’re not good at everything, but they’re a great jack of all trades to have in your pots and pans cupboard. That’s why I’ve written this guide to try and help you find the best non-stick frying pan at just about every price range.

Maybe you’re finally looking to get the pan of your dreams for your snazzy new flat. Maybe you’re moving into student halls and need something to throw a bean burger in every now and then. Whatever your budget is – and whatever it is you’re looking for – it’s always worth noting that even the very best non-stick pan’s coating will wear after a while. Whether that’s months or years, though, depends on the pan you get. And how you treat it. So don’t go abusing any of these lovely pans with metal prongs or cutlery, all right? If you take care of your non-stick it’ll take care of you.

Say goodbye to any more sticky situations with these great non-stick frying pans, MOB.

The “I'm On A Budget” Non-Stick Pan

Tefal

Tefal is one of the most well-known makers of non-stick cookware for a reason, MOB. And that reason is that their products work. Not only is this sturdy pan from Tefal crafted from durable stainless steel but Tefal's nifty little Thermo-Spot (it’s that red bullseye right in the centre of the pan) will let you know once your pan has reached the optimum temp for cooking. Why’s that important? Well, it means your food will cook more evenly, for one, and it’ll also prevent you from overheating your pan and damaging its non-stick coating. It’s dishwasher safe and oven safe to 260°C.

The “Bang For Your Buck” Non-Stick Pan

Circulon

For a trusty non-stick frying pan that you won’t need to take out a mortgage to afford, this Momentum Hard Anodized Frying Pan from Circulon is a good shout. You can gry, flip and sauté with ease with one of these bad boys. The hard-anodized aluminium surface might sound a bit Star Wars (and bring to mind an image of handsome Han Solo frozen in carbonite) but it’s just another way of saying these pans are well-hard and won’t crumple easily under pressure. It’s covered under a lifetime guarantee but that doesn’t mean you can run your steak knives all over it, you psychopath. Be good to this Circulon non-stick and it’ll be good to you in return.

The “Aesthetic Is Everything” Non-Stick Pan

Green Pan

This eye-catching ceramic non-stick pan from the GreenPan Venice Pro Extra range works as great as it looks. Made with natural materials (like, believe it or not, sand) this pan is PFAS-free and doesn’t contain any harmful toxic chemicals. The ceramic is fairly durable and ideal for frying, searing and browning vegetables, fish and meat, and whatever else you can think of. They claim that it’s metal utensil safe but we’d stick to wooden or rubber utensils to be on the safe side, MOB. You should also take care to avoid using extra virgin oil or oil sprays, as they will negatively impact the non-stick ability of the coating. If you’re the sort of person who uses a lot of both, it’s probably best to look for another non-stick frying pan.

The “Best For Eggs” Non-Stick Pan

Zwilling

If you’re looking for a non-stick pan that will absolutely change your egg game, then this aluminium bad boy from ZWILLING is it. Designed by the Italian Thun studio, the pan has a pared-back aesthetic that won’t take your breath away but its functionality is where it really shines. The non-stick coating is pretty hard wearing and the solid forged aluminium core on the bottom of the pan provides even heat dispersal to ensure that all your ingredients get evenly cooked. It’s the sort of pan that can take a bit of bashing about and still deliver absolutely impeccable performance.

The “Worthy Investment” Non-Stick Pan

Gastrolux frying pan 20cm borough kitchen 1296x 1

This is the pan we use in the MOB Kitchen studio and we can tell you first-hand that it’s seen us through more sticky scrapes than we’d care to recount. Made in Denmark, this Gastrolux non-stick pan is the absolute business and at gliding everything from diced onions to sirloin steak across its non-stick surface. The removable handle also makes it super versatile and means you can throw it in the oven at a moment’s notice. We know it’s not cheap but this pan will treat you right, MOB.

The “Feed The Whole Family” Non-Stick Pan

Le Creuset

Le Creuset is one of those aspirational brands that I just can’t get enough of. There’s something about the simple sturdiness of their products and their lack of flash that makes them so appealing. This non-stick frying pan is deeper than a Philosophy student and features a tough and durable coating that should last you a good few years if you maintain it correctly. The size of this behemoth makes it perfect for big flat dinners and simmering meat as well as doing the little things like scrambled eggs till their perfectly baveuse. A bloody great pan if you’ve for the money for it.

The “Money Is No Object” Non-Stick Pan

All clad copper core nonstick frying pan 30cm borough kitchen 1296x

This is the pan we’d buy if we had all the money in the world, MOB. Well, either that or we were running a Michelin-starred kitchen where we had to guarantee that every portion of vegetables that came out of the pass was perfectly seared and every piece of meat timed to absolute perfection. No, All-Clad’s Copper Core Non-Stick Frying Pan is not cheap. It is, in fact, very, very expensive. But it’s that pricy combination of the heat conductivity of copper with the ease of a non-stick coating that makes it hard to beat when it comes to pure performance.
