We caught up with Pabellon Venezuelan Street Food who make the freshest Venezuelan food in London. Pabellon is a family vendor owned by Helios and Carla Gala. They were taught everything they know about the food by their families. Venezuelian food is influenced by European, West African and Indian cooking traditions, making it an eclectic and delicious cuisine. Pabellon serves some of the most authentic Venezuelan food in London. They started three years ago and have recently won a British Street Food Award for the best sandwich in the UK.
Their most popular dish is the Beef Arepa with sweet potato Sim Pora on the side. The sandwich bread of choice here is cornbread which is toasted on the outside, and then stuffed with slow-cooked shredded beef in a delicious sauce, fried plantain, pico de gallo, avocado and garlic sauce. It's a freshy.
Get down to Pabellon at the Lower Marsh market in Wimbledon, to learn a bit more about Venezuela and taste the most epic sandwich (certified) around.
